“I want plan advisors who are aggressive — who know how to maximize the benefits for us. The Gilliam Bell Moser team knows exactly what they’re doing.”

Long-Term Vision for A Richer Plan

Alamance Eye Center is a comprehensive eye care practice with seven board-certified ophthalmologists and three optometrists offering a full range of medical and surgical services.

In business since 1950, the practice had an existing 401(k), which Gilliam Bell Moser was able to enhance substantially, essentially quadrupling the amount that the eye center’s partners were able to put away for retirement. In addition, Gilliam Bell Moser helped the practice seamlessly convert from one investment platform to another.

“Gilliam Bell Moser studied our options and they could see that we could do much more with our plan,” said Steve Dingledein, MD, president of the eye center. “They explained their findings, presented us with alternatives and set up what we wanted, which resulted in a much better plan that will work much harder for all of us in the long-term.”

Gilliam Bell Moser also monitors the plan and handles all the compliance. “They are extremely thorough,” said Dingledein. “I talk to them regularly, so I know they’re on top of things.”

Dingledein also appreciates Gilliam Bell Moser’s proactive approach. “I want plan advisors who are aggressive — who know how to maximize the benefits for us,” he said. “The Gilliam Bell Moser team knows exactly what they’re doing.”

The eye center has come to rely closely on the Gilliam Bell Moser team to advise them. “I count on them to tell me the best way to do things for our 401(k),” Dingledein said. “We have a great plan now. They’ve done an exceptional job.”
