Caroline is a Tax Partner with the firm and leads its Fiduciary Practice, concentrating on estate planning, estate and trust administration, fiduciary compliance, and gift-tax planning and reporting.

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Specialist in Estate Planning (CSEP), Caroline regularly advises high-net-worth individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and closely held businesses on advanced wealth-transfer and succession strategies.

In collaboration with each client’s attorneys, financial planners, and investment managers, Caroline helps develop comprehensive, highly customized estate plans that incorporate efficient wealth-transfer strategies, minimize tax exposure, preserve multi-generational wealth, support philanthropic goals, and provide lasting peace of mind.

A significant part of Caroline’s practice is devoted to serving as a trusted resource for individual and institutional trustees. She partners with trustees to ensure full compliance with federal and state tax reporting, develops income-tax planning strategies that align with the trust’s purpose and beneficiaries’ needs, and provides clear, practical guidance on fiduciary responsibilities—from mandatory and discretionary distributions to beneficiary reporting requirements. Caroline strives to translate complex tax and fiduciary rules into straightforward, actionable steps that protect trust assets and help trustees fulfill their duties with confidence.

Caroline and her team provide ongoing guidance, proactively reviewing plans as tax laws, family circumstances, and financial priorities evolve.

Caroline began her career with Gilliam Bell Moser in January of 2001 and is based in our Burlington office.

Personal Background

Outside the office, Caroline cherishes time with her husband, their two grown children, and two young grandchildren. An avid runner who particularly loves running on the beach with her German Shepherd, she finds time outdoors – especially near the ocean – the perfect way to recharge.
